Hey everyone! I’m so happy I can finally share these with you! 🥰 I worked on these illustrations months ago, but I had to keep them secret, so I’ve been very excited to finally show you what I’ve been up to!
I painted four oil paintings in total. The last one is still under wraps, but today I can share two of them with you: the endpaper illustrations for the first two books, Once Upon a Broken Heart and The Ballad of Never After, featuring Jacks and Evangeline.
I chose oils for this project because I wanted really rich, saturated colours, and because I can actually work faster in oils than in watercolour sometimes. I only had three weeks to paint all four illustrations, so I really had to keep things moving!
