These Terms and Conditions apply to all subscriptions and digital courses purchased through www.paintwithlioba.com.
1. Provider

2. Course Platform
Paint with Lioba provides access to digital painting courses, instructional videos and related learning materials through a customer account.
The exact content included in each subscription is described on the relevant sales or checkout page.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, subscriptions do not include individual feedback, personal coaching or physical materials.
3. Customer Account
You may be required to create an account to access the courses.
You must provide accurate information and keep your login details confidential. Accounts and course access are personal and may not be shared, transferred or resold.
Please contact us immediately if you believe that another person has gained unauthorised access to your account.
4. Conclusion of the Contract
By completing the checkout process and clicking the final payment button, you submit a binding order for the selected subscription.
The contract is concluded when your payment is confirmed and access to the course platform is activated.
The contract language is English.
5. Prices and Payment
The price, billing period and included services are displayed before you complete your purchase.
Payments are processed through Stripe using the payment methods available during checkout.
The applicable amount is charged at the beginning of each billing period.
6. Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
You may cancel at any time. Your cancellation will normally take effect at the end of the current paid monthly billing period.
You will retain access until the end of that period unless a refund is issued or access is terminated because of a serious breach of these Terms.
7. Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are paid in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
You may cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current paid annual subscription period.
Cancelling an annual subscription prevents the next renewal but does not normally result in a proportional refund for the remaining months of the current period.
Mandatory cancellation and consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
8. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation
The applicable renewal period and price will be displayed before purchase.
You may cancel your subscription through:
your customer account;
the “Cancel Subscription” function on our website; or
by contacting us at hello@paintwithlioba.com
You will receive confirmation of your cancellation electronically.
Cancellation stops future renewals. It is different from exercising a statutory right of withdrawal or requesting a refund.
9. Course Access
Course access normally begins shortly after successful payment.
Access continues for as long as the relevant subscription remains active and paid.
We may update, reorganise or replace individual lessons and materials, provided that the overall nature and value of the subscription are not materially reduced.
We aim to keep the platform available reliably but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, security updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Mandatory rights relating to defective or unavailable digital services remain unaffected.
10. Technical Requirements
You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, browser and software required to access the courses.
We are not responsible for problems caused solely by your device, internet connection, browser settings or incompatible third-party software.
11. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
All course videos, texts, images, PDFs, reference materials and other content are protected by copyright.
Your subscription gives you a limited, personal and non-transferable right to use the content for your own learning during the applicable access period.
You may create your own artwork while following the courses.
You may not:
share your account or login details;
copy, record or redistribute course videos;
upload course materials to another platform;
sell, sublicense or publicly share course content;
remove copyright notices;
use the materials to create a substantially copied competing course;
use the content to train artificial-intelligence systems.
Any commercial-use restrictions stated for a particular reference image, template or course project must also be observed.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where there is reasonable evidence of:
account sharing;
payment fraud;
unauthorised distribution of course materials;
interference with the website or platform;
another serious breach of these Terms.
Where appropriate, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before terminating access.
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
13. Failed Payments
If a recurring payment fails, Stripe may attempt to process it again.
Access may be temporarily suspended while payment remains outstanding. The subscription may be terminated if the outstanding amount is not paid within a reasonable period after notice.
14. Refunds and Withdrawal
Cancellations, voluntary refunds and statutory withdrawal rights are governed by our separate Refund, Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy.
That policy forms part of these Terms.
15. Learning Results
The courses are provided for educational and creative purposes.
Individual results depend on factors such as previous experience, practice, materials and personal circumstances. We do not guarantee a particular artistic, professional or financial result.
16. Liability
We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and in any other case where liability cannot legally be limited.
For damage caused by ordinary negligence, we are liable only where we have breached an essential contractual obligation. In that case, our liability is limited to damage that was reasonably foreseeable and typical for this type of contract.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Changes to Prices or Terms
Price changes apply only to future billing or renewal periods and will be communicated in advance where required by law.
We may update these Terms where necessary because of legal, technical or operational changes. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated appropriately.
18. Consumer Dispute Resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
19. Applicable Law
German law applies.
For consumers, this choice of law does not remove mandatory protections provided by the law of the country in which they usually reside.
