Here are some work-in-progress pictures of my painting Vela & Bubbles, along with their little background story!😄👽

Meet Vela. 💕 About 370 million years ago, her spaceship broke down and she was forced to make an emergency landing on a rather unimpressive little planet called Earth.There wasn’t much to see. No cities. No intelligent life. Mostly plants, mud and bugs. She gave it 2 out of 10 stars.
Then she looked into the ocean. It was full of sharks! 🦈
One of them reminded her so much of her pet back home that she immediately fell in love with him. Which, in hindsight, probably says a lot about her taste in pets.
So when her ship was finally repaired, she did the only reasonable thing.
She left Earth.
And took Bubbles with her.
Earth: 2/10. Bubbles: 14/10. Would abduct again. 💕
