Hey everyone,
When I was in Paris last year, I knew that the Art Nouveau movement had its beginnings there in the 1890s. So, I went on a little quest to find an Art Nouveau-style café – and I actually did! It used to be an art gallery, and the whole place had that beautiful, intricate Jugendstil charm.
I sat down, pulled out my sketchbook, and started drawing, completely inspired by Art Nouveau. For me, it’s always about elegant women surrounded by butterflies and flowing organic shapes. I knew right away that I wanted to turn this sketch into a painting someday – but sometimes, these things take time.
Now, it’s finally here! Mariposa is finished, and I couldn’t be happier. 🦋✨ She turned out exactly as I imagined!
She’s now available in my shop – here’s the link: Click here!
If you want to see the original sketch, I also made a post about it back then: Instagram Post
Thank you for being part of this journey! I hope Mariposa enchants you as much as she does me. 💛
PS: WIP photos are coming soon!
