In this lesson, we will blend abstract elements with realism and include watercolors, color pencils, and a little bit of gouache. For this technique, hot-pressed watercolor paper without strong color lifting characteristics is best.
I used the “Hahnemühle Collection Watercolor 300 gsm Block Hot Pressed” [Available for Members]
To furthermore prevent the paint to lift I also painted with the Etchr Watercolors (Alternatives are Schmincke or Winsor and Newton). Japanese Watercolors like the Mozart watercolors are very easy to lift so I didn’t paint with them!
